This Christmas card exchange is open to members of the ABTRFriends email chat group.

SIGN UPS will be taken from November 1st until November 15th.

PLEASE FOLLOW DIRECTIONS and email submissions to christmascards@AmericanBostonTerrierRescue.org !!!

* Don't send your requests to join the fun until the 1st of November. I will send the list of participants in Word format so you can print them out on labels.

* Cards can be purchased, home made with dog pictures on them, anything along those lines. NO EMAILED CARDS. THIS WILL COST POSTAGE, INK, PAPER/CARDS, ENVELOPES.

* Postage to Canada or Mexico is higher than within the USA. PLEASE check with the post office to be sure that you have enough postage on your out of country envelopes. Mail will be returned to you for additional postage and will delay the recipients getting them before Christmas and enjoying the exchange.

* Send everyone on the list a card and they should send you a card. Anyone signing up is required to participate. If you do not send cards to everyone, then we will not allow you to sign up in future years.


It's time for ABTR's Secret Santa gift exchange!



This event has been so much fun and such a success that we decided to bring it back again this year. I hope you'll all consider taking part in this fun little holiday tradition.

Sign-up Begins/Ends:

Begins: November 1st
Ends: November 15th

Participants will receive their Secret Santa pal via email by Friday, November 22nd.

Gifts should be sent no later than Friday, December 14th to ensure that they arrive in time for Christmas.

When signing up, please indicate:

- Your name
- Your mailing address
- The number of dogs you have, their names, sizes and breeds
(you'll be matched with someone who has a comparable number of dogs to make it fair)
- Any allergies/no-no items (no rawhides, please)
- If your dogs have treat/toy preferences, please list them.
(This is also a good place for your wish list. If there's something you'd like for yourself or for your dog(s), list it here.)

Reveal:

It's up to you how you want to reveal yourself. We suggest you place a card inside the package, but if you're more creative than that, go for it. We just ask that no one reveal themselves or their Secret Santas on the list until Christmas Day, as this will be a double blind event and only the coordinator will know who is matched with whom.

Participation:

This event is completely voluntary and is open to ABTR Friends list members only.

It goes without saying that if you sign up to participate, you must do so. No backing out at the last minute, as someone is going to get unfairly shafted and you'll end up with a big lump of coal in your stocking!

Acknowledgements of getting the gifts are EXPECTED!!! Gifts are to be opened on Christmas and then guess who your Secret Santa is and share what you got with everyone.

This exchange is intended to bring our little group even closer together and there aren't many rules. Gifts for dogs and/or humans are encouraged and the gift budget is entirely up to you. (ABTR recommends $25 as a guideline.)

Shop and support ABTR at the same time: As your Fundraising Coordinator, Heidi is always looking for more ways to raise money for ABTR. Having said that, here are a couple ideas for gift giving that will also give back to ABTR!
