Vote for A Chance for Bliss

Please help A Chance for Bliss win this contest as they help very old horses, dogs, etc to have a loving place to live out their lives and they can use the money as feeding and caring for these animals is expensive as we all know. As they are a sanctuary only they depend upon donations so winning this Grant would help them tremendously.

Place your vote here for this wonderful animal sanctuary to receive a $50k grant from Pepsi. Remember once you sign-in, you need to click on the "vote for thisidea" button again or your vote won't get counted.

MAGGIE IS LOST!

Please help us find her.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS

LOST DOG - BOSTON TERRIER - FEMALE

Boston Family.. Please say a prayer for the return of my girl Maggie. We think someone took her from the back yard Sunday afternoon. We've been in Houston for six days and our next door neighbor was coming over to feed them and give them fresh water. When we got home Monday afternoon, only Jake and Lily were here to greet us. I know without a doubt she is coming home to us safe and well. Please let that be your prayer.

Love always,

Sue Ann

Thank You So Much!

UPDATE - 12/5/09 - You guys are not going to believe this.. No, that's not right. You WILL believe this because you KNEW the same as I that Maggie was coming home. AND SHE IS HOME! HALLELUJAH Thank you Jesus!

Here's what happened. Today we got a call from Westcreek Animal Clinic (our clinic). They said they'd received a call from a man who had Maggie. That numbers on her tag matched their record. Raymond called the man and told him we'd be there in ten minutes. He lives about two miles away. He was sitting on his front porch when we drove up and went inside and came out with Maggie. I lost it!!! Hugged the stew out of the man. LOL His wife saw Maggie yesterday trying to get in the front door of their next door neighbor. She finally got her to come to her. Gave her water an called the clinic this morning.

We took her straight to see Dr. Hendon. She was not herself at all. Limping on what looked like all four legs and kind of in shock. She's bruised and has scrapes, cuts and what looks like road rash all over. Maggie urinated (a lot) on the floor in the examining room and the urine was colored like dark blood. Can't tell you how much that scared me but I'm so glad she did it there so they could see it. Anyway, the doctor thinks she may have been rolled by a car. They took complete sets of xrays, blood work-up and urine analysis. He's sending the xrays off to be analyzed and will have a report Monday. Prescribed Rimadyl for pain and Clavamox antibiotic. They gave her a can of Hill's Prescription Diet a/d food and she gobbled up a whole can the size of a tuna can. But she wouldn't drink. I bought some of the food in the event she didn't feel like eating her food. Mixed some of it with a bit of her kibble for dinner and she ate most of it. Still haven't been able to get her to drink though. (I'll tell the doctor about that when I talk to him in the morning.) Gave her doses of her medicine which she's to take every 12 hours. I think when the pain med began to work she was more comfortable. I gave her a nice warm bath. She had dried poop on her butt and was dirty.

Now this is the thing guys. She was wearing a different collar than the one she left home in and the only tag on it was her city license tag which was numbered. That's the number she was matched with. It showed it was issued by WAC with their telephone number. Someone had painted her toenails hot pink but the polish was all worn off... Now, she was with someone for a time. I don't know how long or how long she's been out by herself on the street, but quite a while from the looks of her.

Raymond talked to the guy we think took her. Of course he didn't say "give me back my dog", because we have no proof he was the one who took her. But he told him she was our baby since she was 8 weeks old. That she was spayed and microchipped and on daily medication. After seeing so many posters and having the police visit his house, I believe he put that one tag on her and dropped her off somewhere. She was found with a pink rhinestone collar on and one of her four tags. Not the Lupine collar she had on when she was stolen. To tell the truth, I don't know what happened but the main thing is SHE's HOME! I'M SO THANKFUL!

Jake and Lily were so happy to see her. Jake immediately brought her a Kong to play but she DID NOT want to play. The only thing that's like the old Maggie is this... Lily came in from a potty break, she sniffed her butt and immediately went out to mark over Lily and spread HER sent. LOL After all, she IS the alpha bitch in this house And we'd just better not forget it.

So my friends, Maggie is home and in our arms once again. Nobody can discount your prayers and the candles that were lit to light her way home. Breaks my heart when I think of her out in the cold with nothing to eat or drink and injured. She's been sleeping most of the time she's been home. I think with a second dose of meds in the morning, she'll feel better. She seems to be limping more than when we first got her though. But she will be fine.

I know you guys don't mind this long message and Lord knows, I'm overjoyed to send it. LOL I put a brief message up on my Facebook page, but had to sit down to write you. Thank you friends. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Wish I could hug you all and give you some sugar. ~smile~ You will always be family.

Probably won't be on the computer much tomorrow. Gotta make sure my girl has what she needs. Bought some of those little donut beds CVS has on sale this week for 5.99 and put them around for her. (They're pretty nice.) Of course, her brother and sister have taken a liking to them too. LOL Keeping blankies warm from the dryer to wrap her in and keep her comfy. She'll be doing BT 500's before you know it.

God is soooo good! I love you,

Raymond, Sue Ann, Maggie, Jake and Lily

PS Have my Christmas present. Don't want nary other thing except Greg home for Christmas!
